Mass of the Phoenix

The Priest prepares the Perfume, and the Cake of Light.
He puts the flame to the Censer of incense, and makes the Keph-Ala-Kech magical gesture.
He makes the holy Hexagram and the Cross with the magical weapon.
He offers the Cake of Light (which was made yesterday) on the Fire of the Censer.
He puts the Blood of the Cup to his lips.
He recites the secret Word (which is sixfold, and of the Nature of the Universe), and the Song of Ecstasy that is in the Holy Books.
He burns the Cake of Light, and eats the Ashes, saying:

There is no grace: there is no guilt:

This is the Law: DO WHAT THOU WILT!
He strikes his breast and says:

O man! refuse not thy will, but do that thou must do!

He takes the remaining Fire and puts it into the Censer.
He drinks the second draught of Wine.
He pronounces the benediction:

So mote it be!
