Travelling Through the Darkness to Find the Light

My man wanted some artwork for his office, so I painted this small 10″ x 10″ piece on a piece of lightweight wood. I don’t know what this creature is, or what this painting means, but I’ve decided to call it “Travelling Through the Darkness to Find the Light” because I’ve been listening to a lot of Desert Sand Feels Warm at Night lately.

I shouldn’t of used ink for the initial sketch. It got moist and it started turning blue, which mixed with the paint I was using.

I want to make more pieces like this – natural scenery with arachnid, striking black figures that contrast aggressively contrast with their environment. Black widow on silk.
